October 25, Fineko/abc.az. The richest people of 2022 have been announced.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to Forbes magazine, which publishes an annual list of billionaires, that the number of dollar billionaires in Turkey has fallen from 27 to 24.

Tesla founder Elon Musk took 1st place in the world with fortune of $219 bn.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who took 1st place last year, dropped to 2nd place with fortune of $171 bn.

War, pandemic and stagnant markets have had negative effect on the fortunes of the world's billionaires this year. In the 36th annual Forbes list of the richest people on the planet, the number of people decreased by 87 people - to 2,668 people. Their total wealth decreased by $400 bn to $12.7 trillion.

In Turkey, Murat Ulker took 1st place with fortune of $4.7 bn. In 2020, with fortune of $6.3 bn, Ulker dropped from 421st to 601st place in the world ranking. Ferit Shahenk took 2nd place in the list with fortune of $2.4 bn. With fortune of $3 bn in 2021, Shakhenk ranked 1292nd on the 2022 list.
