August 23, Fineko/abc.az. The countries of the European Union filled underground gas storage facilities by an average of 77.42%, the association Gas Infrastructure Europe (Association of Operators of Gas Transportation Systems in Europe) said in a statement.

During the day the rate of filling gas storage facilities amounted to 0.43 percentage points.

This year the EU countries have pledged to fill underground gas storage facilities by at least 80% by the winter of 2022-2023, and by 90% in all subsequent winter periods.
