August 23, Fineko/abc.az. UK consumer price inflation could reach 18% by early 2023, nine times the target set by the Bank of England, Benjamin Nabarro, an economist at the American bank Citi, said.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to foreign media that the British economists believe the inflation in the UK in January exceeded 18 percent, and energy prices in the country are rising.

According to their estimates, Citi, the largest US bank, updated its forecasts for the consumer price index and the retail price index by 18% and 21%, respectively,  for the first quarter of 2023.
