August 22, Fineko/abc.az. The European capital receiving the cheapest gas has been named.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to Turkish media that due to the energy crisis, consumers' payments for natural gas around the world have rapidly increased.
As Europeans brace for harsh winter, they are grappling with rising natural gas payments. The cheapest gas among European capitals is in Ankara (4.68 lira per cubic meter (0.2647 euros)).
The most expensive gas in Europe is in the Netherlands (53.63 liras (3.01 euros)), in the UK this figure is 35 liras (1.96 euros)), in Berlin, it is 32.6 liras (1.83 euros), in Zagreb the residents pay 9.89 liras (0.56 euros) per cubic meter of gas, in Athens, the fee is 32.51 liras (1.82 euros), and in Sofia, it is 25.9 liras (1.45 euros).
