August 18, Fineko/abc.az. European banks have resumed trading in Russian bonds.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to Financial Times that this is happening against the backdrop of a reduction in customers from the United States.
The publication recalls that earlier the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed a ban on trading in Russian securities due to sanctions. However, at the end of July, it was allowed to trade for three months, so that investors could sell Russian shares.
According to information, trading in Russian bonds is carried out, in particular, by UBS, Barclays and Deutsche Bank.
Earlier, American banks JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America announced that they were ready to conduct transactions with Russian bonds on behalf of their customers.
