June 20, Fineko/abc.az. Defense and national security expenditures are set at the level of AZN 5.08 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the updated draft law on the State Budget of Azerbaijan for 2022, discussed at a meeting of the Pparliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship. The indicator is by AZN 594.868 million or 13.2% more against the previous budget forecast.

AZN 2.16 bn of total expenditures (AZN 3 million more against the previous forecast) are envisaged for the defense forces, AZN 295 million (AZN 10 million or 3.5% more) for national security, AZN 433 million (unchanged) for the border service, AZN 4 million (slightly increased) for applied research in the field of defense and national security, AZN 2.187 bn (AZN 581.6 million or 36.2% more) for other activities related to national security, AZN 2.18 bn (AZN 580 million or 36.2% more) for projects and events of special defense purpose.
