June 20, Fineko/abc.az. Greece has started pumping Azerbaijani gas to Bulgaria via the new IGB pipeline.
ABC.AZ reports that the test work is due to last until the end of the month.
The pipe capacity is 3 bn cu m of gas per year, but the pump capacity can potentially be increased up to 5 bn cu m.
The completion and commissioning of the IGB gas pipeline (Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria) was planned for the 1st half of 2021, but was postponed to a later date due to the pandemic and problems with the supply of materials.
