June 16, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Federal Reserve System (FRS) has announced another interest rate decision.
ABC.AZ reports that the Fed raised the base interest rate by 75 basis points at once — to the level of 1.5-1.75% per annum.
In the U.S., for the first time since November 1994, the base interest rate was raised by 75 basis points at once.
The regulator has raised its base rate for the third time. So, on March 16, the Fed raised the rate for the first time since December 2018, after in 2020, in response to the severe economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, it unscheduled lowered it to the level of 0-0.25% per annum.
