June 9, Fineko/abc.az. International payment systems Visa and Mastercard, which left Russia in March, began to gradually return to Russian banks the insurance deposits that they kept in case of problems with payments.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Russian media that at the same time, banks that have fallen under sanctions may face problems.

Experts note that if the bank issuing Visa and Mastercard bank cards cannot make payments, then deposits will be required to cover the five-day turnover. For a large financial institution in Top 50, this amount can be tens of millions of dollars, for the largest banks - hundreds of millions of dollars, and for the entire banking system – several billion dollars.
