Central Bank of Turkey published statistics of balance of payments

May 16, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Turkey has published balance of payments statistics for March.

ABC.AZ reports that the current account deficit in March was $5.55 bn, and the current account deficit for 12 months was $24.2 bn.

Economists had expected the deficit to be $5.7 bn.

According to the CBT, the foreign trade deficit increased by $3.36 bn to $6.34 bn.

Excluding gold and energy, which are the main indicators, the current account presented deficit of $314 million in the same month of 2021, and the surplus in March was $2.48 bn.
