May 6, Fineko/abc.az. State Tax Service’s head Orhan Nazarli met with members of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA).
ABC.AZ reports that the meeting was attended by the management of ABA and STS, as well as representatives of the country's leading banks.
The STS head noted that the main purpose of the meeting is more detailed discussion of practical issues facing the banking sector, as well as joint cooperation in the field of tax legislation and administration.
ABA chairman Zakir Nuriyev emphasized that many of the issues raised directly related to the activities of taxpayers not only in the context of the banking sector, but also the fight against the shadow economy in general.
A range of issues facing the banking sector were discussed at the meeting, including taxation of property and land transferred to the balance of banks on problem loans, simplification of the exchange of information on opening of accounts between the STS and banks, the application of orders to the bank accounts of debtors-taxpayers, sanctions in tax legislation for the banking sector, the process of lending to micro-entrepreneurs, international taxation, procedures applied in the elimination of double taxation, etc.
