Visa leaves Russia after losing $60 million

April 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Visa payment system, which stopped working in Russia, said in a report about the loss of $60 million.

ABC.AZ reports that company's net profit grew by 24% up to $7.6 bn in the 1st half of fiscal year 2021-22.

The net profit for the reporting quarter reached $3.6 bn (+21%).

The report says that business revenue in Russia for the entire fiscal year 2021 and the 1st half of 2022 made up only 4% of all consolidated net revenue.

Visa also lost $127 million from equity investments and $40 million due to amortization of acquired intangible assets and one-time costs associated with their acquisition.
