April 22, Fineko/abc.az. Investment company Interros Capital, owned by billionaire Vladimir Potanin, intends to buy Rosbank from French financial group Societe Generale S.A.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to newspaper Kommersant that he is in a hurry to complete the deal because he is afraid of new sanctions.

The businessman will pay from foreign accounts or companies controlled by him, but the funds may be frozen in case of expansion of EU sanctions, the newspaper writes.

In all likelihood, the EU sanctions do not apply to Potanin and his company, since he is the president of Norilsk Nickel LLC, which supplies nickel and palladium to Europe for the automotive industry.
