15:50 - 22.04.2022

April 22, Fineko/abc.az. The German central bank stated that the Bundesbank faces the risk of recession in the German economy due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the ban on imports of coal and oil from Russia.

ABC.AZ informs, citing the foreign media, that in its monthly report, the bank predicts that the ban on energy imports from Russia will lead to a sharp rise in prices and the deepest recession in recent decades will follow.

"In case of a severe crisis scenario, real GDP will decrease by about 2% this year against 2021," the statement said.

According to the Bundesbank, the greatest damage will lead to an increase in energy costs.
