World's largest pension fund lost $74 bn

April 21, Fineko/abc.az. The Norwegian National Welfare Fund, the world's largest pension fund, has lost tens of billions of dollars against the background of what is happening in Ukraine.

ABC.AZ reports that Norges Bank, which manages the Norwegian Welfare Fund for $1.3 trillion, informs that the fund lost 4.8% in the period from January to March.

The report on the results of Q1 of 2022 says about losses for 653 bn Norwegian kroner ($74.2 bn).

The exchange portfolio, the main asset class of the fund, lost 5.2% in value.
