April 18, Fineko/abc.az. The leadership of the Central Bank of Russia announced gradual easing of capital controls.
ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s head Elvira Nabiullina said in her speech in the Duma that the tightening of monetary policy and the diversification of foreign exchange reserves in 2021 are effective for the stability of the economy to sanctions.
"The period when the economy can live on reserves is finite. And already in the 2nd - beginning of the 3rd quarter, we will enter a period of structural transformation and search for new business models," Nabiullina stated.
She added that the structural changes are related to the sanctions imposed against Russia. They primarily affected the financial market and will now begin to affect the economy more and more.
