April 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Armenian authorities are "very careful not to fall under US sanctions" for possible attempts to help Russia circumvent restrictions.
ABC.AZ reports that Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan stated about this in an interview for RBC.
As can be seen from the minister's interview, Armenian credit organizations found themselves in a desperate situation.
They cannot refuse the money that Russians want to invest in banks, not to fall under US sanctions. Kerobyan stated this in his interview, albeit indirectly.
He noted that the US sanctions are formulated in such a way that they threaten secondary restrictions to non-American organizations that will be seen in "substantial support" of sanctioned Russian individuals and institutions.
