Capital outflow from Russia has sharply increased

April 12, Fineko/abc.az. The net outflow of capital from Russia by the private sector in the 1st quarter of 2022 grew 3.6-fold (against Q1 of 2021) up to $64.2 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that such information was distributed by the Central Bank of Russia.

By the end of Q1 of 2021, this indicator was at the level of $ 17.5 bn.

The surplus of foreign trade of the Russian Federation in the 1st quarter of 2022 increased 2.6-fold (versus Q1 of 2021) up to $66.3 bn.

Experts attribute this to the fact that dozens of foreign companies and investors have left the country due to the sanctions imposed against Russia.
