Canada bans sale of real estate to foreigners

April 8, Fineko/abc.az. Since Canadians are having difficulty buying a home due to rising prices, the government decided to ban the sale of housing to foreigners for 2 years. House prices across the country have risen almost by 1% over the past 20 years.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign press that in Canada, the government of Justin Trudeau announced that it will ban the sale of housing to foreigners for 2 years.

The bill is aimed at protecting Canadians who find it difficult to buy a home due to rising prices. The ban on selling to foreigners will no longer apply to persons with a permanent residence permit in the country and foreign students.
