April 8, Fineko/abc.az. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that coal imports from Russia will be banned.

ABC.AZ reports that announcing new economic sanctions against Russia, the PM said that he would ban coal imports, Japan would find other alternatives to new energy sources.

Japan has previously decided not to sever energy ties with Russia. Today's step shows that this policy of the country has changed.

The PM also announced that the assets of 550 Russian oligarchs will be frozen, and new investments from Russia will be banned.
