New powers given to Central Bank of Russia

March 11, Fineko/abc.az. The State Duma of Russia has adopted in the 1st reading a bill defining special regulation of the financial market and corporate relations.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Russian media that the document is intended to protect country’s national interests from unfriendly actions of foreign states and international organizations.

Thus, these documents indicate that in order to prevent foreign shareholders from violating the stability of Russian companies’ activities, the bill increases the limit of their participation in the capital of a joint-stock company.

It also gives the right to challenge the operations and actions of the company through the court.

According to the document, the Central Bank of Russia will have the right to determine the list of information that financial institutions cannot disclose.
