March 3, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank has announced that it has stopped all its programs in Russia and Belarus due to "hostile actions against the Ukrainian people".
ABC.AZ informs that the Bank has made a written statement about its programs in Russia and Belarus.
"The World Bank Group has not approved any new loans or investments in Russia since 2014. Also, no new loans for Belarus have been endorsed since mid-2020. With the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine and hostile actions against the Ukrainian people, the WBG immediately stopped all its programs in Russia and Belarus," the statement says.
