February 18, Fineko/abc.az. In 2021, the exchange rate of the manat changed in different directions in relation to the currencies of the trading partner countries.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the Central Bank's monetary policy review for Jan-Dec 2021.

Thus, the exchange rate of the manat rose against the euro, the Turkish lira, the Russian ruble, the pound sterling and the Japanese yen, but declined against the Swiss franc, the Ukrainian hryvnia and the Georgian lari.

The review says that the dynamics of bilateral exchange rates have influenced the dynamics of the multilateral exchange rate.

In general, over the year, the nominal effective exchange rate of the manat to the total weight of non-oil trade increased by 12.1%, and the real effective exchange rate grew by 12.4%.
