Central Bank halts benefits for banks

February 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has already announced that there is no need to extend the rule introduced in 2020 in connection with the pandemic.

ABC.AZ reports that the CBA stated that this rule has already gone down in history.

In connection with the pandemic, the CBA approved the Temporary Regulation on the control of the activities of credit institutions in connection with the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) dated April 24, 2020.

The regulator extended the validity of these temporary rules every quarter. In parallel with the extension of the rule, certain "softening" was applied every quarter.

The last current rule concerned mainly the definition of risk groups for consumer loans (overdue, etc.).
