February 11, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from today, on the eve of its 30th anniversary, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan has issued a new 20-manat banknote dedicated to theme "Karabakh".
ABC.AZ was informed at the CBA that the new banknotes will be in circulation in parallel with the currently-in-circulation banknotes of the same denomination and will be used as a means of circulation indefinitely.
The protection systems and the design of 20 manats dedicated to the theme of "Karabakh" have been updated using the latest technologies and innovations within the framework of the existing concept.
All cash money systems and equipment that are already in use in the country have been adapted to the updated 20 manat banknote.
