December 16, Fineko/abc.az. Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan considers that about $200 million will be needed to restore the railway line in Armenia as part of the construction of a railway line from Azerbaijan to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through the Syunik region in southern Armenia.

ABC.AZ reports that there is no specific project and estimates yet, but a small amount will be required to repair the railway crossing from Armenia to Iran.

"A major investment is the restoration of the railroad on the site of the city of Meghri. The former railway on this site has been completely dismantled, this road has already become a motor road. I think speech is about $200 million," Kerobyan told journalists at a briefing following a government meeting on Thursday.

According to the Armenian minister, the largest investment is provided for the construction of a railway line from the Armenian border to Goradiz on the territory of Azerbaijan.

"There, too, the railway has been completely dismantled. This will require more than $1 bn," Kerobyan said.
