September 23, Fineko/abc.az. For the past 8 months of 2021 Azerbaijani banks received interest income on loans given of more than AZN 1 bn.

According to the CBA, banks’ interest income on loans for Jan-Aug 2021 amounted to AZN 1.92 bn (by AZN 86.6 million or 8.6% more against Jan-Aug 2020 – AZN 1.5 bn).

Banks’ interest expenses for Jan-Aug 2021 totaled AZN 322.3 million against Jan-Aug 2020 – AZN 352.7 million. Most of the interest expenses are interest expenses on deposits.
