July 15, Fineko/abc.az. Generation of electricity at thermal power plants of Azerbaijan increased by 161.7 million kWh up to 12.247.5 billion kWh, at hydroelectric power plants by 92.5 million kWh up to 772.5 million kWh, and on other power-generating sources (wind power plants, solar plants and Baku Solid Waste Incineration Plant) amounted to 186 million kWh for Jan-Jun 2021.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Energy that the domestic wind power plants generated 47.1 million kWh, solar power plants 26.2 million kWh, the solid waste incineration plant 112.7 million kWh of electricity.

National electricity supplier Azerenerji generated 11.829 bn kWh of electricity in the 1st half of the year (11.153 bn kWh at thermal power plants and 676.2 million kWh at hydroelectric power plants), state energy service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic 211 million kWh (99.9 million kWh at thermal power plants, 87.1 million kWh at hydroelectric power plants, 24 million kW/h at solar power plants), and the independent power plants 1.131 bn kWh.

Country’s electricity exports increased by 48.2 million kWh (versus Jan-Jun 2020) from 669 million kWh and imports by 17.4 million kWh from 88.9 million kWh over Jan-Jun 2021.
