North Macedonia to build a pipeline to import Azerbaijani gas

February 8, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of 2021, North Macedonia will announce a tender procedure for the construction of a 68-km gas pipeline from Negotino to Gevgelia, ABC.AZ reports citing Transport Minister Blagoj Bohvarski of Macedonia.

The construction of the new gas pipeline will allow the country to gain access to the Greek gas network and, consequently, to Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).

According to the minister, it is expected that the permit for the construction of the gas pipeline will be issued before mid-2021.
