Central Bank sold $54.4 million to banks in a currency auction

September 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has conducted a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The CBA reports that the CBA sold $54.4 million to banks at today’s currency auction.

"The demand from banks in the currency auction amounted to $54.4 million and was fully met," the CBA said.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat to the US dollar was AZN 1.70.
