July 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Federal Reserve System (FRS), which serves as the central bank of the U.S., kept the discount rate at the level of 0-0.25%,

ABC.AZ reports this became known after Fed’s meeting.

"The ongoing public health crisis will significantly affect economic activity, employment and inflation in the near-term prospect. Taking into account these events, the Committee decided to maintain the target range of the share on federal funds at 0-0.25%," the Fed said.

The Fed also kept the discount rate at 0-0. 25% on 10 June.
