November 26, Fineko/abc.az. On 26 November the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance submitted the proposals to the government on the application of MHI in 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that the Agency proposes to introduce 4 stages of MHI in the country by 2020 in order to overcome the risks of transition to MHI, prepare medical institutions and the population for this process, as well as to expand the scope of reforms and the introduction of new financing mechanisms in medical institutions. At the 2nd stage of the proposal - in April-June 17 districts will join the system - the cities of Ganja and Naftalan, Goygol, Geranboy, Dashkesan, Samukh, Shamkir, Gazakh, Agstafa, Gedabek, Tovuz, Barda, Terter, Agdam, Agjabedi, Fuzuli and Beylagan. Thus, 24.60% of the population living in these regions will be able to use MHI.

In July-September, that is, at the 3rd stage, the MHI will be applied in 14 districts - the cities of Lankaran and Shirvan, Masalli, Lerik, Yardimli, Astara, Jalilabad, Salyan, Neftchala, Bilasuvar, Imishli, Saatli, Hajigabul and Sabirabad. In these districts 19.53% of the country's population will be provided with health services within the system.
