June 10, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2019 the total premiums of insurers in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 265.3 million and compensation payments AZN 66.7 million.

The Financial Market Supervision Authority reports that voluntary insurance premiums amounted to AZN 176.2 million and compensation payments AZN 43.4 million, while compulsory premiums AZN 89.1 million and payments AZN 23.3 million.

For the first 4 months of the year 66% of all insurance premiums in the insurance sector accounted for voluntary and 34% for compulsory types of insurance. 65% of insurance payments were formed at the expense of voluntary and 35% at the expense of compulsory payments.
