April 4, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced the establishment of a joint commission on control over the modernization of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft systems.
The Administration informs that as part of the supervisory authority the FAA will cooperate with the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA), as well as international air regulators.
"The Commission will consider the results of the modernization of the MCAS (Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System - a system for improving maneuverability characteristics), the failure of which, as it is supposed, led to the crash of Ethiopian liner Boeing 737 MAX 8," the FAA said in a statement.
