September 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported 8.47 million tns oof crude oil to Italy for $5.226 bn for Jan-Aug 2026.

According to the State Customs Committee, although deliveries of oil to Italy decreased by 7.9% against Jan-Aug 2025, and its cost increased by 8.8%.

Thus, Italy's share in Azerbaijan's overall crude oil exports made up 57.7%.

According to customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported 14.677 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products for $9.28 bn for Jan-Aug 2026. As a whole, in the first 8 months of the year, country's foreign trade turnover totaled $33.238 bn, including exports for $21.815 bn and imports for $11.423 bn.
