August 30, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States has entered into the "biggest oil deal in world history" with Venezuela, securing majority control over more than 65 billion barrels of crude oil reserves.

Trump noted that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth worked closely with Venezuela's Interim President Delcy Rodriguez to execute the agreement through private sector partnerships at no cost to American taxpayers. The U.S. President stated that the historic transaction will more than double American oil reserves, strengthen the nation's energy supply, and significantly lower domestic fuel prices over time.

Venezuelan Interim President Delcy Rodriguez confirmed the landmark deal, highlighting that it covers the development of 17 strategic oil fields, which is expected to attract over $100 billion in private investment and generate more than $209 billion in tax revenues for the country.
