August 26, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), as of July 31, 2026, the total assets of the 21 operating banks reached 60,979.9 million AZN.

In July, total assets, total liabilities (53,330.2 million AZN), and balance capital (7,649.7 million AZN) all grew by 0.1%. Employment in the banking sector increased by 0.3% (93 employees) during the month to 27,555 people.

Currently, 504 bank branches, 82 sub-branches, and 3,505 ATMs operate in the country.
