August 13, Fineko/abc.az. In January–June 2026, Azerbaijan exported 24,231.8 kg of gold valued at $3,670,632,000. According to the State Statistics Committee, this marks a staggering 25.5-fold increase in monetary value and a 12.4-fold rise in volume compared to the same period in 2025.

The bulk of the exports went to the United Kingdom, accounting for $3.468 billion for 21,902 kg. Shipments to Switzerland reached 2,329.8 kg (+18.9%) valued at $202.169 million (+40,4%). (In comparison, Azerbaijan's gold exports in 2025 were directed solely to Switzerland).

Conversely, gold imports into Azerbaijan plummeted during the period, falling to 91.5 kg (-99.7%) worth $15.27 million (-99.5%). Imports originated from Turkey ($12.4M / 72.4 kg), Switzerland ($2.78M / 19 kg), and the UAE ($80K / 0.1 kg).
