August 11, Fineko/abc.az. According to the annual performance report of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, AZN 250.5 thousand in taxes were calculated through desk tax audits covering social media and foreign digital platforms in 2025.

Key Highlights:

• Non-Resident VAT: VAT declared by non-residents reached AZN 15.5 million, with information exchanges conducted across 150 partner nations.

• Foreign Accounts Data: Incoming records regarding financial accounts of Azerbaijani residents held abroad increased by 17% year-on-year.

• International Requests: Under information-sharing frameworks, 40 international queries were sent and 32 were received, yielding AZN 239.6 thousand in additional tax assessments.
