August 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Association of Banks (ABA) and the Azerbaijan Fintech Association (AzFina) have agreed on the application of a risk-based approach to replenishment of payment instruments.

Under the new rules, each payment instrument has a top-up limit: no more than 5 transactions per day and up to 20,000 manats per month. In addition, only one payment instrument will be linked to one account. Expenditure transactions are not subject to limits.

Restrictions will not affect transfers between own accounts, transfers to close relatives, as well as transactions with a confirmed source of funds. The introduced measures will not create inconveniences for conscientious users.
