August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is launching a state subsidy program providing substantial cost relief and discounts on exporters' logistics to boost the non-oil sector and enhance the competitiveness of domestic products internationally.
Pursuant to the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on additional measures to stimulate non-oil exports and support transportation costs, the new framework will apply from September 1, 2026, to September 30, 2036.
State support will cover a discount of 70% of non-cash transport costs for shipments via rail, air, sea, or Azerbaijani-registered trucks, and 50% for foreign-registered trucks. Maximum payout caps are set at 15% of customs value for road, rail, and air freight, and 5% for sea freight, with the Ministry of Economy reimbursing the lower of the calculated amounts.
Additionally, internal transport support will provide a 70% cost refund on non-cash logistics for overland shipments of non-oil goods produced in Nakhchivan to other regions of Azerbaijan. The measure aims to significantly reduce freight expenses for exporters and drive long-term trade growth.
