July 23, Fineko/abc.az. The government of Punjab has introduced Artificial Intelligence as a core subject across its school curriculum, announced the state's Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains.

"Today marks the beginning of a new era in Punjab's education system. Punjab has become the first state in India to introduce AI as a core subject from Grades 1 to 12. We are transitioning from leading the Green Revolution to leading the AI Revolution," Bains declared, as reported by India Today.

According to the minister, the curriculum was developed following a study of international practices from Singapore, Finland, the UAE, and the United States.

The initiative will be implemented in partnership with Neeev AI and backed by technology giants including Google, Intel, Canva, and FA-AI, aiming to enhance AI literacy, build teacher capacity, and foster innovation in education.
