July 16, Fineko/abc.az. New US tariffs on Brazilian imports will come into force next week and will not affect some non-US-made goods.

This follows from a statement published by the US Trade Representative's Office (USTR).

The tariffs, as the Associated Press explains, will not affect certain goods that are not produced in the U.S., or those that the U.S. government believes could disrupt supply chains.

The goods excluded from the new tariffs include coffee, beef, oranges and orange juice, certain products from the oil and gas industry, and parts and components for the aerospace industry, according to the agency.

Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the U.S. government, on behalf of President Donald Trump, would impose 25% tariffs on most goods imported from Brazil.
