Iran declares termination of Islamabad Memorandum with U.S.

July 15, Fineko/abc.az. Iran has announced termination of the Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S., known as the Islamabad Memorandum.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi says that the Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the U.S. no longer exists.

The document was signed less than a month ago, on June 18. It provided for an immediate and definitive cessation of hostilities on all fronts, as well as the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian statement means that the previously reached agreements have lost their force, and the Memorandum has been officially terminated.
