July 13, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey has signed a memorandum with the TRNC leadership on gas supplies and begins construction of an underwater gas pipeline of nearly 101 km long - from Anamur to Teknejik.

The project envisages creation of complete gas infrastructure, including terminals and auxiliary facilities, which will provide all of Northern Cyprus with natural gas and increase the reliability of energy supply.

The pipeline will be two-way, with the possibility of pumping gas both to the island and back to Turkey and then to Europe.
