July 3, Fineko/abc.az. In cases where a one-time insurance benefit is provided, the amount of the accrued insurance payment will not exceed the thousandfold amount of the minimum monthly salary.

This issue was reflected in the draft amendments to the Law "On compulsory insurance against loss of professional ability due to industrial accidents and occupational diseases", submitted for discussion at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy.

Under valid law, individuals working in government agencies, municipalities, legal entities that are state-owned or municipal-owned, or in which the majority of shares (stakes) are owned by the state or municipality, including public legal entities established on behalf of the state, and budgetary organizations, as well as students and trainees undergoing practical training (education), and volunteers participating in volunteer activities, are subject to mandatory insurance in accordance with the procedure established by this law in the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.

According to the amending bill, if there are changes in the number of insured persons, their categories, the degree of professional risk, or the payroll fund during a budgetary or contractual year, the insurance premium will be recalculated in proportion to the time remaining from the date of these changes until the end of the corresponding budgetary or contractual year.

In addition, insurance premiums accrued in proportion to the time remaining until the end of the relevant budget year for new policyholders who joined during the budget year for the above-mentioned insured persons, as well as recalculated insurance premiums for the above-mentioned insured persons in accordance with the above paragraph, will be paid within 15 business days from the date of the basis for accrual.

Besides, the amount of the one-time insurance payment for the above-mentioned insured persons will be calculated in such a way that it does not exceed the thousand-fold minimum monthly wage established in the country on the date of the insured event.
