Inflation in Eurozone slows down more than expected amid lower energy prices

July 1, Fineko/abc.az. The easing of tensions in the Middle East and the drop in global energy prices led to a sharper than expected slowdown in inflation in Eurozone countries.

ABC.AZ reports, citing Eurostat data, that in June, annual growth of consumer prices slowed down to 2.8% compared to 3.2% in May (Bloomberg's consensus forecast was 3%). In monthly terms, deflation was recorded at 0.1%.
