June 24, Fineko/abc.az. It would be advisable to divide the entire portfolio into categories of retail, corporate, banking, and compulsory insurance.

ABC.AZ reports that Vusal Abbasov, Chairman of the Board of AzRe Təkrarsığorta, said this during panel discussions at the 11th Azerbaijan International Insurance Forum in Baku.

"What are the problems in all these four groups? In the retail business, I think our market needs more data analysis, technology, and digital services. The second problem in the retail segment is related to the agent network. We need to recognize that our agents and intermediaries are still in the process of development, and there is a lot of work to be done. There are also new emerging risks, such as cyber insurance and other technological risks, which we can sell to our customers. In Azerbaijan, banks are used as a sales channel, but mainly for insuring banks' collateral. I think we can expand cooperation between insurers and banks and use banks as a channel to make insurance not only an insurance of their collateral, but also an additional source of income for banks," he emphasized.
