Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan Advanced Joint Mining Operations and Mineral Ventures

18:00 - 20.06.2026

June 20, Fineko/abc.az. Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan are holding structural deployment talks during the AMM Congress to lock down joint sovereign investments in the mining and metallurgical sectors.

According to ABC.AZ, Saudi Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalid Al-Mudaifer, emphasized that both nations are driven by a mutual objective to expand the mining industry's share of GDP and accelerate macro-economic diversification away from hydrocarbons.

Core Industrial and Financial Vectors:

  • Targeted Supply Chains: Al-Mudaifer pinpointed phosphates, aluminum, steel, titanium, and rare earth elements (critical minerals) as the primary pillars of the bilateral mining trade corridor.

  • Future Minerals Horizon: The bilateral talks serve as a bridge to the upcoming Future Minerals Forum scheduled to take place in Riyadh in January 2027, where global leaders will negotiate cross-border supply chains and mineral resource sustainability frameworks.
