June 5, Fineko/abc.az. As of the end of April 2026, the number of transactions on UnionPay payment cards issued by resident financial organizations of Azerbaijan reached 2,400, and the volume of transactions exceeded 310,000 manats.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to CBA’s report, compared with April 2025, UnionPay cards recorded a rapid growth trend:

Number of operations increased more than by 2,300 cards, or 24-fold;

The volume of operations exceeded 260,000 manats, or 6.2-fold.

Operations of non-residents:

Activity within the country was observed not only on local cards, but also on UnionPay cards issued by foreign (non-resident) financial organizations. Thus, the number of transactions on non-resident cards reached 2,200 cards, and their total volume exceeded 200,000 manats.
